Nashville, TN – Community Foundation of Middle Tennessee (CFMT) is excited to announce the opening of its annual scholarship application process starting December 1, 2023. Prospective students have until 11:30 PM CST on February 1, 2024, to submit their applications.
Education is a powerful tool for personal empowerment, but its financial demands often make it inaccessible to many. CFMT, through the generosity of its scholarship donors, has been a beacon of support for countless students. By offering a variety of scholarships funded by individuals, companies, and civic groups, CFMT helps students across Middle Tennessee and beyond to realize their educational aspirations.
With a portfolio of more than 160 scholarship funds, CFMT simplifies the application process for students. Applicants are encouraged to apply for multiple scholarships through a single, streamlined application.
Every year, Community Foundation’s scholarship committee meticulously reviews applications to administer the awards on behalf of the donors. Since CFMT’s scholarship program was established in 1995, it has awarded nearly $30 million in scholarships to 11,754 scholars, reflecting its deep commitment to education and community development.
“There are many wonderful ways to give back, but seeing members of our community give to ensure students across Middle Tennessee can access education is, in my opinion, one of the best,” said Kelly Pietkiewicz, CFMT’s Scholarship Coordinator. “Education is the key to many successes in life, and our donors are instrumental in unlocking these opportunities for students from all walks of life.”
